You might be wondering, "What in the world is a Belsnickle?" According to Wikipedia: Belsnickle is "... a crotchety, fur-clad Christmas gift-bringer figure in the folklore of the Palatinate region of southwestern Germany along the Rhine, the Saarland, and the Odenwald area of Baden-Wurttemberg. The figure is also preserved in Pennsylvania Dutch communities.”
This pretty statue of the storied Belsnickle version of Santa Claus features a deep red velvet coat with silver tinsel and a Hand Tied Green Goose feather sprig. He is made of paper mache for the base and stands at about 12" tall. He would make a terrific addition to your holiday festivities. Made by Ragon House.
